I'm published over on the WBEZ Hard Working blog, a collaborative project about employment in our crap economy.
The Pirate Bay just suffered another attempt to shut them down, and surprise surprise, it didn't work.
I've added Google Adsense ads to the Bald Prophet Productions website. We'll see how these work out for us, hopefully they'll be a supplementary revenue stream for our projects without annoying our readers much if at all.
For detailed information, see baldprohet.com
We're going to run a open source collaborative song writing project
here on Bald Prophet, and I invite you to join. Below are the
guidelines for the project:
Everyone collaborating is welcome to work on any song, and post their own song ideas, even if it's just a topic stub, we'll all work together to write the lyrics.
We may also use this for actual music writing in the future, as I improve my guitar skills and those of us who are more advanced help out, so if you can write guitar tabs or piano sheet music or percussion music (or anything really, tell us what you're awesome at!) for these songs, those would be excellent additions to our project.
All media, lyrics, and music transcription are Creative Commons licensed, under this guideline
You are free to perform any of the songs free of charge at your shows, or sell a CD with your performances, or any other cool commercial enterprise you can think of, as long as you credit the collaborative group authorship. If you are interested in participating, please reply here, and I will get back to you with an invite.
Thank you, and have fun. Also, proper props to JoCo, for being my role-model and inspiration in open sourcing music.
Here in Chicago, at the UIC Hull House
I already go to the Hull House most Tuesdays for free soup lunch and talks on food justice issues, which are awesome, I totally want to start going to there films!
